About Dr Sonal Jain Atluri

Dr. (Mrs) Sonal Jain Atluri is among the few Indian paediatric neurosurgeons to have completed formal clinical fellowship training in Paediatric Neurosurgery in the United States, bringing international expertise to the care of children with complex neurosurgical conditions.
Trained in India, refined internationally
Dr. (Mrs) Sonal Jain Atluri completed her M.B.B.S., M.S., and M.Ch. in Neurosurgery at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She was awarded a Gold Medal for her performance in the M.Ch. Neurosurgery examination and was recognised as the Best Neurosurgery Resident in India through the Torrent TYSA Challenge.
She was also the first Indian woman to receive the prestigious AASAN (American Association of South Asian Neurological Surgeons) Ambassadorship to the USA. Her international training and academic experience have contributed to her expertise in managing complex neurosurgical conditions in children.
Pioneering the “Switch Cranioplasty” technique
Dr. (Mrs) Sonal Jain Atluri has published an internationally recognised research paper on Switch Cranioplasty, an innovative cranioplasty technique appreciated by international paediatric neurosurgery societies. She has authored 19 research papers, and her contributions have earned her several international awards early in her career.
